History

Within a Bairrada family that has always been linked to the vineyard, Pedra Lascada wines and sparkling wines were born. The name Pedra Lascada refers to the origins of this project, since the soils of our vineyards are rich in a peculiar characteristic, which is white limestone “torn” into chips that have been dating back to Roman times.

The project is led by its mentor, Alberto Branco, whose professional career has been dedicated to wineries in the Bairrada region, accompanied by his family to whom he instilled a taste and know-how regarding vineyards and wines.

The Pedra Lascada project is divided between the municipality of Cantanhede, where our vineyards are located, and the municipality of Mealhada, where the cellar is located, in which we combine ancient knowledge and practices with modernity.

In addition to the unique particularities of the region, the secret of these unmatched nectars lies in the love, care and detail with which all stages of the process are carried out by this family, from the vineyard to the cellar, based on values such as demand, quality and harmony.
